Terms & Conditions

Use of Moffat County Busted Mugshots constitutes agreement to these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the site.

Moffat County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and unaffiliated with any sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The service is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency. It only helps visitors locate records resources in Moffat County and Colorado.

Nature of the Service

This private reference site has no government authority. It stores no official booking, jail, court, or corrections record and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, or file a request or court document for a visitor.

Its pages point toward public agency resources and independent research tools. Colorado criminal justice record access is governed by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, but the agency that holds a record decides access under current law.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming people, services, or systems.

  • Do not violate any local, state, or federal law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use information for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions.
  • Do not attempt access to accounts, servers, or data without permission.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with access or service for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

Moffat County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and its advertising partners do not offer such services through this site. Users agree not to apply its content to:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government benefit eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to sheriff, police, jail, court, corrections, federal, legal-aid, news, or independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control a destination's content, privacy practices, data quality, fees, or availability, and visitors should review that service's own terms.

Service Provided As Is

All pages and tools are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • Information is complete, correct, or current
  • The service will be available without interruption
  • The site will be free of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • A partner search will return a complete result

Custody and public records change often. Nothing published here is an official statement from Moffat County or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other loss tied to access, use, inability to use, or reliance on the site or an outside service.

User Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its operators, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from that user's conduct, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Moffat County Busted Mugshots or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, changed, republished, or distributed without written permission, except where law allows.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may change without advance notice. A revised version becomes effective when posted, and continued use after that point means acceptance of the revision.

Restriction or Loss of Access

Access may be suspended, limited, or ended at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.

Colorado Law Controls

Colorado law governs these terms. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Colorado.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected term will be narrowed only as much as necessary.
